Workspace model
How Axuz organizes company, team, optional project, channels, timelines, task boards, wiki and files — and what each name means on screen.
Axuz organizes work in layers. Knowing each one avoids confusion when you look for a conversation, a task or a setting.
Company
└─ Team (workspace)
└─ Project (optional)
├─ Channels (chat, tasks, files and wiki)
└─ Timelines (social feed)
Company and team
A company groups one or more teams. The team is the real working space and also shows up as workspace: it holds your members, roles, channels and billing plan. You pick the active team in the sidebar team switcher or in the Teams and apps launcher, which also opens the other Axuz apps (Financer, Drive, Mail, Meet, Flow, Calendar and Admin) already in the chosen team’s context. Anyone without a team sees a notice that there is no active team and can use Create team.
Besides teams there is Personal mode: a space of your own, outside any team, with your notes, tasks and calendar.
Project (optional)
A project groups channels and timelines by initiative or customer. It is optional: a channel without a project is listed under No project. Under Projects, New project asks for a name (up to 80 characters), description, icon and color. Each project page shows a dashboard with about the project, metrics, tasks due next week, most active channels, latest messages and latest posts. With Customize you drag cards to reorder them and hide the ones you do not want; saving ends the customization mode.
Channel, timeline and board: three different things
This is the distinction that causes the most doubt.
- A channel is the working place for a subject or team. Each channel has the tabs Chat, Tasks, Files, Wiki and Settings. New channels are private; access is granted by invitation (the Invite button) or by team administration.
- A timeline is the team’s social feed, similar to a corporate social network: posts with text, galleries, videos and audio, comments, votes, revision suggestions and history. A team can have several timelines (for example Announcements, People, Culture). Do not confuse it with the Timeline view of tasks, which is a Gantt chart.
- A task board lives inside the channel, in the Tasks tab, and shows the same tasks as Kanban, Table, Timeline or Calendar.
Wiki and files
A channel’s Wiki keeps markdown pages, visible to everyone with access to the channel. Use Create your first wiki page and enter the title. The Files tab organizes folders (New folder, rename, delete, copy link).
Favorites
To pin what you use most, click Favorite on a channel, project or timeline. Items land in the Favorites section at the top of the sidebar; Unfavorite removes them. Favorites are personal: everyone has their own.
Workspace home
The Workspace screen is a dashboard of widgets: metrics, projects, tasks due in 7 days, recent tasks, most active channels, latest messages and latest posts. With Customize, drag to reorder, hide widgets and use the restore-default action to return to the original layout.
To learn who sees what in each layer, read Roles and permissions; to find content, Global search.
