Video meetings (Meet)
How to create video rooms, choose who can join (team, specific users, any signed-in user or public link), invite outside guests, allow recording and end the room.
Meet creates video call rooms integrated with your team. My rooms holds the rooms you created and the ones that belong to the active team. For a quick conversation between two members, the channel also has the Start a call button (see channels and timelines); Meet is for meetings with a name, guests and a link.
Create a room
- Under My rooms, click New room (or + New room in the side menu). If you have no rooms yet, use Create the first one.
- Give it a Name (optional), for example “Product weekly”. Without a name, the room shows as “Untitled room”.
- Under Who can join, choose one of the four options:
- Whole workspace: only members of the active team can join. Pick the team first in the launcher, otherwise the form warns “Pick a workspace first”.
- Specific users: tick in the member list who can take part.
- Any signed-in user: any Axuz account with an active session can join.
- Public (anyone with the link): generates a link with anonymous entry, where the person enters a name and, optionally, an email.
- Tick, if applicable, Persistent room (does not expire) and Allow recording.
- Click Create room.
The list shows each room with the chosen visibility and the persistent and recording badges, when they apply.
Join, invite and end
Join opens the call on the page itself (“Connecting to the room…”); Participants shows who has already joined (“Nobody has joined yet” while the room is empty). Invite copies the room link (“Link copied.”); if the browser will not let you copy, the screen shows the link for you to select and copy by hand. Inside the room, Copy link does the same.
Anyone who opens a public room’s link sees Join as a guest: they enter Your name and Email (optional), click Join room and show up in the call with the Guest badge. The guest does not need an account.
End removes the room, after a confirmation (“End room …?”), and only the person who created the room can do it: for everyone else, the action is refused. Use it for rooms that have served their purpose; the link stops working.
Meet inside Calendar
In Calendar, the event has the Video room section: Create video room generates the room already tied to the event, Join room opens the call and the Guest link (no account needed) lets people in without an account.
