Files and Drive
How to upload, organize, version, share by link (with password and expiry) and recover files in the team Drive and the personal Drive, and which file size and quota limits apply.
Axuz files appear in two places that show the same collection. Each channel’s Files tab lists what was uploaded there or attached to the chat. The Drive app gathers the files of the whole team, and also keeps attachments from other modules, such as bills, tasks and posts. There is also a Personal Drive, just for you.
Upload files
In the Drive, click Upload to choose files, + Folder from disk to upload a whole folder, or simply drop files and folders onto the screen (“Drop files or folders here”). A panel shows progress (Creating folders…, then Uploading files) and the summary at the end, with Cancel if you change your mind. If some fail, the panel tells you how many were uploaded and how many failed.
The maximum size of a single file is 500 MB by default (the installation’s operator can change that ceiling). If the content is identical to a file already uploaded, the Drive asks: Reuse the existing one or Upload copy. The team’s storage quota shows in the Drive bar; admins can see consumption under Billing.
Folders and organization
- Click + New folder, name it (up to 120 characters in the channel) and confirm.
- Navigate with the breadcrumb at the top (the root is All files). The Search this folder… box filters what is in the open folder.
- In a file’s action menu: Open, Share, Rename, Replace…, Versions and Delete. On folders: rename, delete and Copy link.
In the Drive’s side menu, Visão unificada (unified view) summarizes the latest uploads from all modules, Compartilhados (shared) lists files with an active link and Por contexto (by context) filters attachments by origin (Bill, Receivable, Payment, Receipt, Task, Post, Wiki and Drive uploads). These menu entries are labeled in Portuguese in the interface. Clicking a file opens the preview; when there is no preview for the type, use Download.
Versions
Replace… uploads a new version in place of the file, without changing its name or location, and previous versions stay in the history. Under Versions, pick two different versions (the From and To columns) to see the comparison: size, type (MIME), upload date and, when available, the unified patch. If the new file’s type differs from the original, the Drive warns you before replacing.
Share by link
Share opens the file’s dialog. On the Public link tab:
- Allow download turns download on or off (without it, preview only);
- Password (optional): leave empty for a link with no password;
- Expires in: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or Never.
Generate link creates the link, and the Active links list shows, for each one, whether it has a password, whether it allows download, the expiry, how many accesses it had and the last access. Revoke invalidates the link immediately: anyone holding the URL can no longer access it. Only the person who created a link can copy it; other people’s links appear as “Someone else’s link”. Whoever opens the link sees “Compartilhado via Axuz Drive” and, if there is a password, a password field. The Quick link tab is an older shortcut that generates a passwordless link with direct download. For the general model of public links, see public area and external assignees.
Trash
Delete sends the file (or the folder, with everything in it) to the Drive’s Trash. The default window to restore is 7 days; after that the bytes leave storage and Restore stops working. Delete permanently erases immediately and frees the space, with no way back, not even by an administrator. Owners and admins can also see content deleted by other people in team administration. The trash screen is labeled in Portuguese (Lixeira, Restaurar, Excluir definitivamente).
Personal Drive
In Personal mode, the Drive shows “You’re on Personal Drive”: files are only visible to you and have their own quota. The bar shows usage (“X of Y used”) and warns when the quota is near its end; from 80% the Migrate to workspace invitation appears. With a full quota, delete old files or create a team. To move files, select them and click Migrate N files: they move to the Drive of a team you belong to, as long as there is room there, and become visible to its other members.
